Climb For The Kids 2019

Climb For The Kids 2019
Climb For The Kids 2019

We are thrilled to announce the 2019 Climb For The Kids!  This year, Ryan Kelley and Jamie Becker will be summiting Cotopaxi in Ecuador for the 5th annual climb.  This will be the longest and highest climb so far, and Ryan and Jamie are training intently for it.

As usual, the Climb For The Kids will benefit several charities.  The team has carefully selected the charities for the great work that they do, and we are proud to be affiliated with these amazing organizations and causes.

Friends of Kids with Cancer in St. Louis has been a great partner since the beginning of the Climb.  Friends of Kids with Cancer is devoted to enriching the daily lives of children undergoing treatment for, and survivors of, cancer and blood-related diseases. Providing care through the educational and recreational support needed as a result of the long hours of chemotherapy, illness and isolation.

SSM Health Cardinal Glennon in St. Louis has been a charitable partner for nearly as long, and we have worked with them on several charitable endeavors over the years along with the Climb.  SSM Health Cardinal Glennon primarily serves children from eastern Missouri and southern Illinois, but also treats children across the United States and from countries around the world. They have been providing care for children regardless of ability to pay since 1956.

A new partner this year is Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin.  Dell Children’s Hospital is the only dedicated freestanding pediatric and Level 1 trauma center in Central Texas. We are a non-profit hospital that provides a dedicated multidisciplinary team with a family-centered approach. Dell Children’s is committed to a single purpose: making your child feel like a kid again.

We have also included the Staunton State Park Track Chair Program – Founded By Friends of Staunton State Park.  Colorado Parks and Wildlife values the right of every visitor to experience our state’s natural beauty. To provide this opportunity to the disabled community, Staunton State Park offers Action Trackchairs®, which allow visitors with limited mobility to explore designated trails in the park.

Our final charity is Elizabeth Weidener and Crowns Fight Cancer.  Elizabeth Weidner is an experienced cancer fighter and a veteran public speaker. Elizabeth became inspired to become an advocate for childhood cancer awareness after winning the Junior Miss Crown in Summer 2017 at the Miss Effingham County Fair queen pageant. She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in January 2016.

As you can see, we have a wide variety of charitable organizations that you can donate to this year. We are excited to bring the Climb For The Kids to our new partners and the familiar organizations that we have helped in the past.  We have set a goal of $100,000 for the Climb this year, and we want to blow past it.
