Labor Day Weekend Home Improvement Projects

Labor Day Weekend Home Improvement Projects

At the end of summer, there are a ton of great projects you can knock out around your house.  Use the long weekend wisely (and not just at your fantasy drafts) by completing a few of these projects.  If you aren’t already a homeowner, what are you waiting for?  Instead of these, call The Home Loan Expert and take advantage of these great rates!

1)     Add some strong fall colors

Gorgeous plants that thrive in the fall season, flowers like lilies and Bluestars, really make your yard look awesome until winter rolls around. You can make the backyard barbeques last until winter and keep the place looking colorful and fun.

2)     Splash color on a wall.

A three-day weekend is just the right amount of time to paint a couple of room, an accent wall, or a hallway.

3)     Un-goop the gutters.

If you have lots of trees, you know you are going to be pulling muck out of your gutters.  Do it before it gets too cold.  You don’t want to be up on the ladder in the freezing cold cleaning gutters.

4)     Filter your air.

When was the last time you actually changed this?  Go down and change out your dirty air filter.  You’ll want to be inside soon – make sure your air is clean.

5)     Scrub the glass.

After a pollen-filled Midwest summer, your windows could use a good cleaning.  Get out there and wash them off.
